“If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,” Let Israel now say–“If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, When men rose up against us,…. Psalm 124:1-2
So many people are going through difficult times, but could you imagine going through them without the Lord by your side? We need to be more mindful of what the Lord is doing in our lives and in the lives of our families. I cringe at the thought of where I would be if it had not been for the Lord by my side. Sometimes we get so weighed down in our troubles we forget these things. If He helped you before He will do it again. Remember He cares for you.
In verse 6-8, the last few verses in this chapter it reads..”Blessed be the Lord, who has not given us as prey to their teeth. Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; The snare is broken, and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.“ Over and over in the scriptures it teaches us the power in His name. “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe, Proverbs 18:10. His name is so powerful that the scriptures read “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess the Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father, Philippians 2:10-11.
There is power in the name of Jesus. Call upon Him. He is the only One that can help you, your family, and this nation. Let’s thank Him today for what He has done and for what He is going to do.
